Membership Instructions & Details

Our membership spans Madison and many surrounding areas such as Morristown, Chatham, Florham Park & East Hanover.

Membership is open to all women with an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution, a degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), or a foreign degree accepted as a basis for admission by graduate schools at qualified universities of the U.S.A.

There are many ways to become a member.

• We encourage you to join online – here are step by step directions to first creating an AAUW account and then joining our branch. This allows you to pay via credit card.

• Attend one of our programs as a guest of the branch and get a discount on membership.

• Alternatively download our branch membership form and mail it in with your check.

• Contact our VP of Membership if you have any questions.

Annual membership dues cover the period July 1 to June 30:

                            National         $ 72.00 ($69 is tax deductible) *

                            State               $ 10.00

                            Local              $ 16.00

                            Total               $ 98.00

* AAUW National dues are $72, of which $69 is tax deductible. The remaining $3 is not deductible because it supports the AAUW Action Fund’s section 501(c)(4) Capitol Hill advocacy work and get-out-the-vote activities.

Student affiliate membership is available for full-time college students attending an accredited school, at a discounted rate.
